Seeking a Desktop Support candidate to work with the Infrastructure Team

Location: Houston, TX

Salary / Pay: $25.00.hr – 26.00.hr

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide problem resolution, configuration, and installation of PC and other electronic hardware and peripherals, to include, but not limited to desktop PCs, laptops, Tablets, Scanners, cell phones and printers
  • Respond quickly to internal customer issues in a prompt manner
  • Install, support, and trouble-shoot a variety of software packages, including, but not limited to Windows 7, 8, and 10, MS Office Suite/O365, Internet Browsers, and Outlook
  • Remove virus and malware infections
  • Image Desktop systems using Ghost Product, System Center, or other imaging technologies
  • Deploy new computer devices for company users
  • Maintain inventories for all electronic equipment, toner, and other technology supplies
  • Manage printer environment by changing toner, replacing rollers, and installing maintenance kits
  • Keep Desktop Support area organized
  • Follow the Standard Operating Procedures as
  • Support remote users including US team members along with our Canadian and Australian offices using GoToAssist and Zoom
  • Support Motorola/Zebra hand scanners for Operations and Distribution Centers
  • Additional projects as assigned
  • Assist the Systems Administrator, as needed

  REQUIREMENTS
  • Three to five years of recent experience in a Level 1/2 Desktop Support role
  • Proven ability to resolve simple and complex issues relating to computer hardware as well as software
  • Experience using Software deployment and Asset Management tools (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (MSCCM) and In Tune)
  • Advanced client OS background including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
  • Knowledge of enterprise desktop and user administrative tools including Active Directory
  • Understanding of basic network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, as well as network hardware
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels throughout the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must pay attention to detail and meet schedules/timelines
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work load without supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work with and support a diverse range of users with computer skills ranging from the novice to the expert
  • Travel to local facilities at least two times a week
  • Experience with Office 365, Adobe SharePoint, and Internet
  • Primarily works in standard office environment
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Bachelor' s degree/Certification, a plus
