Site Safety Supervisor

Summary:

A large services and business solutions company is looking for a qualified Site Safety Supervisor in the Columbus Nebraska area. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Position Type: Direct Hire

Position Location: Columbus, Nebraska

Position Pay: $85, 000 - $95, 000 (Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the HSE program at a client’ s facility for a sustaining services contract
  • Serve as the company HSE resource for technical interpretation of health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements
  • Support HSE initiatives and promote company culture.
  • Provide support to the employees by maintaining a visible presence in the field 
  • Communicate, coach and assist project leadership to ensure HSE expectations are understood and met
  • Work without appreciable direction.  Audit worksite and observe employees to determine compliance with respective HSE policies and procedures
  • Prepare reports of audit findings to include recommendations for corrective actions
  • Prepare and maintain records, reports and correspondence relative to the job
  • Develop and deliver HSE training to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance
  • Assess HSE program performance and identify trends through data analysis
  • Facilitate incident investigations with project leadership to determine root cause and corrective action
  • Coordinate injury case management per established protocols

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in HSE related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a safety program
  • Professional designation such as CHST, OHST, CSP preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills are a must
  • Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills are necessary for the role
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks through good time management and organizational skills
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment and data analysis and the ability to influence and motivate team members are necessary for the role
